Acoustic guitars- How to get more sustain and clarity

? Here's a little tip to help record acoustic guitars that adds clarity and some sustain. I actually discovered this by accident.?One day sitting around the house I was playing guitar and was using a capo. Kyser brand to be exact. Well in between the songs I needed the capo for,?I just clipped it to the?top of the guitar?headstock between the 4th and 3rd tuners and over the logo. I immediately noticed a difference in the tone of my guitar. I guess adding that weight to the top of the headstock really helped with the tonal transferrence. The guitar really opened up and the notes just simply had more sustain and clarity, now when I'm ?playing around the house or recording acoustic stuff?I always attach the capo to the same spot. And here's the cool thing, by moving the capo around at different spots on the headstock you can actually hear the subtle tonal changes. So give it a shot, it really works. It is?also noticeable on the electric guitar sounds too!
