So What Compressor Stood Out And Actually Improved The Emotion of a Vocal Take?

The winner is the EMI TG12413 compressor / limiter. At a list price of about $4,000 this thing had better sound amazing. After having see it work, I was more impressed by it than any other piece of gear I got to hear in action at the Workshop.
