Yes, this is a studio room's ceiling / wall. Notice the white diffusors on the ceiling.In the window is a lounge.


Why reach increase the reverb time in your reverb box when you can just do it in real life? This ceiling raises like an elevator to give you control of how much reverb you want. Seriously, this is about the coolest thing I've ever seen.

This is when it starts hitting home. A facility like this builds a motorized ceiling and I can't afford new cables. When you see this, you realize that a home studio will probably never be able to compete. This may be a little excessive, but the concept here is that us home studio guys are simply outgunned.


Here's something I can relate to...a cramped mixing room. The size of this room is the only thing I'm used to. Obviously, I don't have an API console and I don't have racks and racks and racks of gear. I think they called this room a mixing suite or something. It's basically a little one or two many room designed for relatively cheap mixing.
