Plans are in the works to setup a large recording studio directory. The idea is simple. If you are in, New York, for example, and are looking for a studio to record your next album, you have another chance to find it.

Is another recording studio directory really necessary?

Well, that depends. Just like bands, studios are often not nearly as promoted properly as they should be. Recording studios often rely on word of mouth for publicity which just happens to be typical of just about any business whether they are selling mp3 players or guitars.

I do think it would be nice to give some of the younger guys just getting started in the bedroom a chance to get out there. People are searching for studios. Why not come up in Google? I can certainly help with that.

Anyway, so whether your studio is in New York, San Jose, or anywhere in between, hopefully when the recording studio directory gets up, you'll be able to gain a little exposure.
