?I just wanted to let everyone know that my buddy, Mark Warren, has just opened an Austin Texas Recording Studio. I met Mark at the Michael Wagener recording workshop in January of 2006 and it looks like that Mark is kicking my ass....at least in terms of gear.

In fact, 5AM Studios has so much gear that it kind of pisses me off. Not so much in a jealousy kind of way....well, yeah, it's flat out jealousy!

I spoke with Mark on the phone about promoting his Austin recording studio and it seams that even though he has an extremely impressive list of gear and rooms that he tells me are great (I haven't heard them yet) he wants to keep the price down. He's trying to stay in the mid-price ballpark, which I think is a great place to be in these days, if you can offer the environment to justify the price.

So anyway, if anyone is looking for a Texas based recording studio, give my buddy Mark a yell first.
