Mark Warren, owner of 5am Studios, (an Austin, TX Recording Studio) is putting together a gear showcase with several recording gear manufacturers after the South by Southwest trade show. On the 5amStudios.com website, the evening is described as:

“This gala event is by RSVP only and open to producers, engineers, and musicians who will be in the Austin area for SXSW and are interested in learning more about A-Designs Audio equipment, Pearlman Microphones, 5am Studios, and who want to get together in person to meet and greet following SXSW as well!“

The evening should be a great time. I wish my private jet wasn't in the shop (ha ha!) or I'd be there in a second. This should be a great opportunity to make contacts, audition some great gear, and have some fun (if you consider recording gear to be fun) for anyone in the Austin, Texas area.
