The are tons are lessons the old audio engineers and producers are trying to tell us newer recording guys about music. Sometimes we need to stop and listen.  I think The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel is a tremendous example of this.

When it comes to producing, get out of that mentality quickly and pay studio musicians.

?If you or your singer walks into a recording studio and sings like he was taught in high school choir, you have a big problem. A singer should have something to day and be willing to over over the top to hammer his message into the listener.
