Synths In Action

Let’s talk about synths baby, let’s talk about you and me, let’s talk about all the good things and the bad things that can be.

We have quite the handsome collection of hardware and software synths here at the studio and we wanted to put together some clips running through the presets so everyone out there could get an idea of what these bad boys sound like right out of the box. I made 2 different MIDI  loops and went to town. The signal chain for the hardware is x synth > Wunder PaFour DI > Apogee AD-16x.

Note:There was no post processing done, this was meant to be as raw as possible.

Ruprect once went carless to chase his guitar tone obsession. This same mindless pursuit of tone has led him to an equally brilliant chase of mega recording glory. He assists Brandon Drury, the super human who runs RecordingReview, and when Ruprect shakes or rolls over Brandon allows him to give his opinion to the world.

  1. I think this is a fantastic example (if not a hair crude at times) of the gist of what each synth will do sonically. It doesn’t in any way cover what a creative person can do with the knobs, necessarily. As I’ve mentioned in my review, Zebra2 is my go to synth with Absynth being my second favorite, but just about all of these have value for various applications and depending on what you are up to.
