I ordered a Hellatone 30 from Avatar Speakers today to replace my blown Celestion G12H30. For whatever reason, Avatar Speakers made my day.

This isn't a serious blog and you probably won't learn anything. Fair warning.

I blew up my Celestion G12H30. It happens with 30 watt speakers. I got too excited. You wouldn't believe the tone I was getting just before I blew it. That may explain why I didn't realize just how loud I was playing.

Anyway, my Celestion G12H30 blew so I decided to go with the Hellatone 30 from Avatar Speakers. Apparently, the Hellatone 30 is a Celestion G12H30 that they wear out / break in for you. I really don't give a damn about that as I'm gonna wear it out myself. The only reason I picked the Hellatone 30 over the G12H30 was because it's cheaper.

So I've had a fairly bad day today. I don't have cancer and no family members were in an accident (YET!), so I guess it isn't that bad. So I called Avatar Speakers to order the Hellatone 30. They are a small little company and aren't exactly cutting edge in the web end (still using frames and don't have a checkout with credit card or paypal and even though I'm the world's worst about security I would NEVER email a credit card).

So I called the dude and it was SOOOOO nice to speak to a real human being. I didn't get that damn waiter from Office Space, Applebees, Outback, and any other franchised plastic franchise's “Welcome to Applebees. Would you like to try some fajita wraps, curly fries, or onion snaps?” I got a real dude on the phone who I felt like I could really talk to. A part of me wants to call them back and ask if they need any web assistance, but I'm already too swamped as it is.

I guess it's the little things that make the big differences with customer surface. Just treating me like I'm actual human being by being a normal human being made me a happy customer. Just because of this tiny little thing I'll be ordering my next G12H30 or Hellatone 30 from Avatar Speakers too.
