Find out if the Royer R121 is the king of electric guitar recording when we put it up against Shure SM57, Royer R121, Sennheiser MD421, Cascade Fathead II, and Shure SM7b.

I've been swarmed by emails asking about The Interrogator Sessions. I figured I'd just give one away so you can see for yourself.

The Royer R121 is the most talked about mic for electric guitar this decade? Is a person lost in their quest for electric guitar sounds without it? Find out!

We compare the Shure SM57, Royer R121, Sennheiser MD421, Cascade Fathead II, and Shure SM7b on metal guitars. Download It!

We've got a winner for our Cascade Fathead II ribbon microphone contest!

I'm proud to announce that Thomaslikesmusic is the winner of the Cascade Fathead II ribbon microphone. While I've got a big review coming up, I have to say that the Fathead II is a hell of mic regardless of it's price. It absolutely kills on drum overheads, electric guitars, and probably a zillion other instruments that I can't think of right now.

The contest was a lot of fun! Okay, it wasn't that involved. I guess that's why it was fun! I didn't have to do anything!

Make sure to check out the full line of Cascade Microphones as they are really pushing the $$ to performance ratio. I've been very impressed with their mics.
